Maxime P. Kien, ACF, is the Culinary Director and Executive Chef at The Highlawn, appointed in late 2024. Born in the Côte d’Azur region of Southern France, he brings over two decades of fine‐dining experience spanning luxury hotels and restaurants across Europe and the U.S., with a philosophy rooted in seasonality, elegance, and flavor precision. At The Highlawn, he elevates the menu by merging classic French techniques with New American influences, ensuring each dish is not just a meal but a showcase of craftsmanship and sense of place.

We encourage guests to wear polished attire such as slacks, button-down shirts, blouses, or dresses. For gentlemen, a blazer or sportcoat is a great way to elevate the look and add to the timeless ambiance of our main dining room.
If you prefer a more relaxed style, we invite you to enjoy the same exceptional menu in our bar/lounge area, where the atmosphere is welcoming yet still refined.
To maintain the elegant vibe of the main dining room, we kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing athletic wear, beachwear, shorts or overly casual headwear such as baseball caps. We also ask that clothing be free of offensive language or graphics.
