In December 1986, the Knowles opened Highlawn after months of restoration to the former open-air “casino” which had, along with the now-prosperous park, been neglected for several years.

The painstaking but ultimately rewarding investment that the Knowles put into the building and park is now more realized than ever, with trees and other plantings maturing and thousands of weddings and events having taken place as a result.

Today, Highlawn Pavilion continues to be a fine dining destination and a world-class venue for weddings.
